Oh Paris, where to begin…
When I started Happily Grey years ago, there was certainly a list- hopes and dreams and big big plans. Things I wanted to accomplish, people I hoped to work with, and beautiful clothes that I longed to wear. Paris was on that list, of course, and fashion week in the incredible city did not disappoint!
It was all that I expected and MORE- daytime shows in dream locations, dimly lit dinners with other fashion obsessed, raiding of shops, eating, drinking, wandering…
The excitement was constant. Beyond beautiful clothes and fabulous events, I was robbed. Yep. Passport, all cards, all money, and a bag full of splurges for the monumental trip. I spent hours at the US Embassy trying to recover and had hilarious conversations attempting to translate from a phone app what had happened…
But, luckily I had Carven and Sandro, Paul + Joe, Marimekko, Each x Other, and Alessandra Rich to distract me, loads of covetable clothes many thanks to Forward, and showroom appointments and meetings to keep me busy.
Leaving the city I felt inspired and reenergized. Getting to do something that I love every single day, sharing it, traveling the world, celebrating others’ talent and creativity…this is what it’s all about. I might have checked Paris off the list, but there is still so much to be done.
New site, new home, maybe a new office space. I can’t wait to share all of it. Thanks so much for following along in this journey and the continuous support. I’m grateful for the now and excited for the future. xx M
