Everything I Used in the Art Room
Sometimes the smallest spaces can have the biggest impact. When I decided to convert our utility closet into the art room, I wanted it to be both functional and inspiring, a place where their creativity can run wild (without taking over the whole house!) We started with
Castell Pink paint
from Little Greene Paint Company - the perfect nude pink with just the right amount of warmth. I found some funky
prints
from Etsy to bring the walls to life (I bought two downloadable packages of art and put together my favorites from both.) All the
frames
are from Target or Amazon and I did a mix of frames, finishes, and mats for an organic feel on the two gallery walls. For art and craft supplies, I stocked up at Michaels and Amazon, organizing everything in bins on a pegboard from Amazon (painted the same color as the walls.) Grouping all the art supplies by color adds an easy, curated touch. We had the desks custom built by my local carpenter and the drawer pulls and chairs came from Amazon. With everything linked here in the collage, it’s easy to recreate this look or make it your own. Happy creating!
